When Hurricane Michael hit the Florida Panhandle in 2018, Target supported schools by helping to rebuild libraries and replace damaged books. For example, Waller Elementary School recently received a surprise donation from Target at its media center ribbon-cutting ceremony. School officials said the renovated media center has already inspired students to read.
"Our mission has always been to serve others, and we do that through our literacy programs because it's so important. These kids are the future, and we believe investing in their education is critical," said Tiffany P., TARGET district manager.
